'Actors And Unit's Health Is My Priority, Not Money," Says Rajan Shahi After Rupali Ganguly-Sudhanshu Pandey Starrer Anupamaa's Launch Gets Delayed- EXCLUSIVE
This morning the news of Anupamaa, produced by Rajan Shahi and starring, Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey, Ashish Mehrotra and Aditi Gupta getting delayed made way to the Internet. We got in touch with Shahi to know what is the forward plan of action
Anupamaa starring Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey, Aditi Gupta and Ashish Mehrotra was set to go on air from today. However, this morning we came to know that the premiere of this show, being produced by Rajan Shahi, has been delayed as the FWICE has announced stalling of shoots from March 19- March 31.
We got in touch with Rajan Shahi to know what were his thoughts were on the delay and his plan of action ahead. The producer was extremely sure of keeping his team's health on priority.
"Yesterday, the channel (Star Plus) and I mutually decided that we should not air Anupamaa from tomorrow. Now that we know that no shoots will take place between March 19-31, we might as well delay the launch of the show. We didn't want a hurried short term launch. When shooting resumes with everybody's consent, we will decide the new date of its launch," Rajan Shahi said.
Rajan also added that for him, his actor and unit's health is of top importance. He said, "More than the show getting delayed, right now my concern is about the life and health of the entire unit. In front of that, all these things become secondary. The launch is anyway going to happen, it is just a delay and I will be happy to bring it to the viewers when things are in a better state and the atmosphere is healthy. Money is the last thing on anybody's mind at the moment. It just seems petty to think of it when the country and the world is going through such a tough phase."
We also asked him about the extensions of his ongoing show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain starring Mohsin Khan- Shivangi Joshi and Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke starring Shaheer Sheikh-Rhea Sharma, in Anupamaa's designated slot.
"There is a good loyal audience of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain and Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke already. I feel things are destined to happen when they have to happen. So, until Anupamaa goes on-air, they will get to see the extended version of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain from today followed by Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke," concluded Shahi.
